Bottle #2 from the LB chardo mystery case….one of those super heavy chard btls…much better than #1, a ton of flavor, heavy on citrus & honey, not offensive in any way, but at the same time a little too up front on the palate, not much restraint. Stands up well to strongly flavored dishes. NB: open btl does not age well! — 2 years ago

Interestingly tart after a beautiful raisin sweet. This is 1990 vintage brought from Hungary as a gift for Saba. A wonderful evening with Anna visiting. Huge raiSin nose and a surprise sweet to tart finish. A beautiful almost Carmel ending after the tartness. Fabulous. — 8 years ago
2022 vintage.
100 % Vermentino from Liguria in north west Italy.
Citrus, honey, grapefruit peel and stone fruit with lime zest and crushed rock on the finish.
Zippy acidity and minerals with a lovely finish.
We grilled mackerel filets (shio saba) and local Albacore tuna.

Has a slight thickness in consistency. True honey sweetness that dances on the tastebuds refreshingly. My husband and I enjoy this wine very much. — 7 years ago

Lanchava Collection Saba 5 - Mtsvane 2023
From the historic vineyards of Kakheti, Georgia, where winemaking traditions go back 8,000 years, this Mtsvane is a lovely expression of both heritage and freshness. Crafted by the Lanchava family, it offers delicate floral and fruity notes, with green apple and soft herbal touches adding to its charm.
Dry, medium-bodied, and quietly elegant, it brings a refreshing lift on the palate with a balanced finish that lingers just long enough. A great match for fish, green or roasted vegetables, light pasta dishes, or simply as a graceful start to a meal. Honest, understated, and full of quiet character, this is one to sip and appreciate. Cheers! — a year ago
