Great wine! Bold and flavorful — a month ago
What a lovely and delightful wine! We served it along with a root vegetable pot roast over jalapeño cheddar grits, and all of my guests thought it worked really well. It has enough strength and backbone along with graceful bright fruit, and that fabulous Italian acidity. What a wonderful food wine. — 2 months ago
Brought to dinner, opened and poured into a decanter just prior to service; enjoyed over the course of 90min. This was my last bottle of the 1994 Rosso del Bepi and I found it to be similarly sensational to the previous bottle that was enjoyed a couple years prior. The wine pours a deep garnet color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with moderate staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with a mix of ripe, tart and desiccated black fruit: brambles, pomegranate, Montmorency cherry, plums, spiced meat, ginger, old leather, dried flowers and just a kiss of VA. On the palate, the wine is dry (technically) though there’s some obvious residual sugar; medium tannin (integrated) and medium acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. This finish is long. As I stated earlier, another outstanding showing. Drink now through 2030. — 16 days ago
Medium body. Cherry and floral nose.
Nice cherry flavors and medium tannins.
Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet blend.

At Moore Brothers tasting of Piemonte with Fung and Mary 1/25/25. Unusual blend with fruit from high up by the foothills of Alps but microclimate warm enough for palm trees. A rather rich and round texture and wouldn’t have guessed Nebbiolo. — a month ago
This has all the traits that make Etna Reds so attractive. Medium bodied , red fruited with pronounced minerality. Vines planted on the pure Ellittico lava flow terroir. Predominantly Nerello Mascalese. As many tasters previously have said of Etna Rosso, a hypothetical blend of Nebbiolo and Pinot Noir. I will leave my last bottle for a couple of years. — a month ago

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a couple hours. The 2015 pours a deep ruby/purple color with a near opaque core; medium+ viscosity with fairly significant staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is developing with notes of ripe black and red fruits: black cherry, mixed bramble berries, spices, horse blanket, espresso…powerful. On the palate, the wine is dry with high tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and wild. Whoa, the structure is significant. Drink now and through 2040.
