This is a very nice Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles. Showing black fruits with earth, chocolates, light vegetables, oak, vanilla, licorice and coke.
Full-bodied and smooth with medium acidity.
Fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries on the finish.
Good by itself or with food. I paired it with cheeses and crackers.
A good sipping wine.

Had this 2 years ago. Special wine not produced every year, BDX presents a different expression of Oakville, Bordeaux blend of 91% Cab Sauv, 8% Cab Franc & 1% Petit Verdot. The wine sat on French oak (55% new) for 28 months. Aromas of rich berry fruit with sweet oak, spice & cedar notes. On the palate blackberry & sweet cherry flavor with cacao & oak spice, great balance & structure. Smooth tannins, great mouthfeel, balanced acidity on a long finish ending with a slight tangy pepper character. Great value! — 2 days ago
The 2015 ‘Oakville’ Cabernet Sauvignon is showing marvelously at its early stage in development. Needing a one hour decant to fully arouse, the wine slowly reveals ripe dark currants with tar and anise aromatics that take shape in the glass. The palate shows a excellent power and acidity with intense dark fruits, and shades of creme de cassis and Turkish coffee. Enjoyable now in its youth, this will continue to evolve over the next fifteen years. Drink 2019-2033 — 5 days ago
Black cherry in the nose with a heavy but smooth mouth feel — 21 days ago
I'm a former club member and love all of Robert Biale wines. The Black Chix is a perennial fav. Loads of upfront mocha and spiced cinnamon. More fruit forward than most zins but a nice mix of structure and balance with subtle tannins. 2016 drinking well. Paired with a chicken parm. Why not!!!!! — 2 days ago

The 2016 'Kathryn Hall' Cabernet Sauvignon is a show-stopping wine from winemaker Steve Levesque. Composed of 90% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Merlot with the core fruit sourced from a barrel selection from the Sacrashe Vineyard. Simply captivating, this opens to inviting aromas of ripe dark currants and blueberry compote that collide with violets, tar and shades of sweet pipe tobacco that all sing in the glass. On the palate this is soft and plush, with beautifully round polished tannins and a gorgeous seamless quality, as well as wonderful weight that truly entices. It continues to deliver layers complex flavors including blueberry compote, leather, mocha, creosote and shades of Asian spices that all build up to the long multidimensional finish. While a delight in its youth, the 2016 'Katheryn Hall' Cabernet Sauvignon should also go on to provide enjoyment for twenty years. Drink 2020-2038- 97 — 22 days ago
Fresh out of the bottle this showed layers of juicy cherry, cranberry, and spicy clove and allspice. A medium to medium plus bodied Pinot but not overripe by any means. After a day in the decanter it evolved to show savory sandalwood, iron, and dried red flowers. — 12 days ago
