Wine rev from Lincoln wines. Tasted like a fruity barbera. Great structure but there’s more texture and flinty notes that compliment the fruit. Also, the fruit itself is an uninteresting mash up. I’d drink it again but it’s less elegant given it’s all pleasing nature — 8 years ago
In Spokane with the very Rev Dr Kula eating steelhead plucked by hand from a NW river. It doesn't get any better then this! — 10 years ago
A bit more structured and serious than the median Chianti Classico. Nose takes a while to rev up but then shows bright ripe and slightly sour cherry, loads of minerality, and a fresh, almost floral note. Lean and vertical in the mouth, it’s got nice structure which the fruit is currently hiding behind. But you can tell that with a bit more time it will round out. Very nice. — 2 years ago
Rev the engines (not your Tesla though!). “Petrol” for sure and a nice acidity and citrusy fruit. — 7 years ago

Chanin PN Rinconada 12

🚨 Quaff-ability Alert 🚨
Had this in Cut Park Lane w/ a top steak so was keen to review @ home properly 👍 @ £50 I think this is the best Chanin single block Pinot I’ve had in a top year - really well balanced, not overpowered & loaded with vibrant fruit 😍

🙏 Wish I had more 😭 — 8 years ago
Opened murky and muted. Needed 90 minutes to rev up, explode on the nose and develop into that candied, ripe expression characteristic of 2015. — 9 years ago
$4.99 at Trader Joes- a rev as I was seeking $15-20 Grenache/Syrah. Mourvèdre at its finest/a great deal. — 10 years ago
Having sipped this with Cambridge wine-tasting champion Rev Dr Gareth Stuart Powell (@KitchenW8) automatically a 10! Aside, robust fruity nose with dried dark cherry palate. 100% Sangiovese. Viva Italia;). — 11 years ago
The lesson I’ve learned with Rev: wait. Two or three years turns a sour grape into something stunning. Lush, smooth, a little subtle soil and dark berry compote, hold the sugar. Just a winter dream in a bottle. — 4 years ago
WSJ rev & they description perfectly. A good price for a good cab. — 5 years ago

.
Latest vintage of one of my favourite Priorats we grabbed in 🇪🇸 for €69 (£74 in 🇬🇧) & it’s sure loaded with potential 😉 Good but give 5-10 years & it’s a 😈 that will reward big time 😍 I still think the 2013 has an edge 😎 the 2015 needs more time for minerality to ease 👍 opens to a typical choc cherry gateaux 😋

👨👨👧 Joint rev w/ Burgnut & Deena
❤️ 09&10 got 11/12 to try, so 13 @ £130 how's it stacking up? Like Deena said before - this needs more time to flex its 💪 as it's very delicate 👶
