A great cozy night wine. Went surprisingly well with spaghetti and tomato base clam sauce! A little green, punchy, but not too hot for the ABV. Good combo of fruit and earth without being overpowering. Would buy again! — 2 months ago

Highly underrated. Has nice fruit and leather on the palate. Not quite a sanjo, not quite a cab, as described. It’s got the traditional hints of both. Extremely smooth.
If you put this in front of someone who prefers Italian wines, it might confound them. It certainly won’t meet muster for a Napa Cab lover, but the notes are there nonetheless. — 2 months ago

I love that Field Recordings takes something classic and makes it inherently contemporary Californian. This is a really wonderful rendition of a Savagnin—nicely acidic and bright with the traditional nuttiness. The nuttiness is a little more buttery and oaked, giving it a “your friends that like big, oaky chardonnays will like this if they don’t drink anything else” vibe. The fruit is apple-y, as expected, with some combination of peach meets apricot. It should get way more credit than it’s due for something so accessible. Will be buying a few more from FR! — 2 months ago
