I’m a huge VJB fan but I gotta be honest that I was a bit disappointed in this #sagrantino. It drinks similarly to a Dry Creek Valley old vine Zin. Big fruit lovers will rejoice but I was looking for more bright acidity and it was a touch syrupy for my preference. — 7 years ago
Very good celebratory toast! — 7 years ago
Excellent old vine Carignan. Bright red fruit, earthy. — 8 years ago
Great red for people who typically favor whites. Not too tannic or heavy, well balanced without being flat — 9 years ago
Electric pink color. Green strawberry, sweet tarts. — 3 years ago
Tart cranberry and cherry flavors and racy acidity. There was also a sour, yeasty component on the back palate that was slightly redolent of sourdough bread. Interesting. Nonetheless an enjoyable bottle for all its funkiness. 100% Valdiguie. 7/4/22. — 4 years ago
It’s all in the can! Easy to drink acidic finish — 6 years ago
Fruity and watermelony. A bit of celery with lovely acidity and a dash of RS provides a nice little pet nat. — 8 years ago

👃 Dried blackberries, dried blueberries, over-ripe black cherry, crushed dark chocolate | 👅 Black cherry & strawberry syrup reduction, over-ripe nectarine skin, dark chocolate sauce, light tar notes, acidity/tannins persists with a long, round finish. Satisfying.
Cork pulled for slow oxidation, 11H rest at time of notes.
The end of the line for our Annette's stock, starting life in our cellar as a 4-pack back in Nov. 2005 ($22.50), this has been an enjoyable run.
Paired to homemade chocolate lava cake. 🤤 — 4 years ago

I mean, the name alone makes you want to, at the very least, try it. And let me tell you, you’ll be happy you did! Some red fruit (cranberry mainly) and acidity with a yeasty finish. A fun change from your standard bubble options and the perfect holiday color! — 7 years ago
Racey plum, dark fruit nose. Round mouth feels. Super balanced, easy drinking. Beautiful purple colour. Long finish. Nice acid, throws cranberry. — 7 years ago
Is it a full bodied Cab no, but very Delicious and oh so Smooth!!! — 8 years ago
Couldn’t believe how light and complex this was! Reminded me of cru Beaujolais. Changed how I see Zinfandel and definitely needed a delectable note. — 8 years ago

@S.S. Mandani really nailed this note: didn't hesitate grabbing an obscure southern French varietal from Redwood country in northern CA. there was a distinct genuineness to this wine, a juicy savory engaging mouthfeel, very cerebral & well made (11%!) - you can tell they just got out of the way and let the grapes shine... — a year ago
