We love Zin, especially when it's well cellared and has some age behind it, they just turn into different wines with years passed. Great red-brown color, still jammy, yet tarry on the palate with heavy dried Bing cherry and voilet notes. Probably close to end of life, maybe 3-4 years left for anyone still holding this bottle. I would say, this is at peak for this bottling, yet continuing to evolve in the glass after +3hrs decant.
Paired with a grilled skirt steak and orzo with early summer vegetables and garden herbs, yum!
