Have not in around 4.5 years. Nose is rich, chocolatey and super mineral. Lovely spice and leaf decay. Palate is so rich and decadent with gorgeous fruit and a tiny berry fruit intensity. Terrific energy and sap. Great balance, freshness and some brooding but thoroughly ripe tannins. That old vine intensity is unmistakeable. Let’s see how this evolves. Really just terrific fruit on this. So sapid, concentrated and deep but also silky. — 15 days ago

First time since barrel in summer of 23 and it blew me away then. Gorgeous and pointed cherries on the nose, some minerals, bittersweet cocoa, spice, metal shavings and more. Gorgeous but will need some time to become more aromatic. Palate is a little discombobulated on the PNP but it’s all there. Grippy, dramatic fruit, amazing length and fruit density, gorgeous purity and grandiose minerality. It needs to come together though. It will. Really coming into its own with minimal air as that finesse is something else. And so so juicy. So fresh and energetic and what amazing fruit cling!! With air this comes alive with just exquisitely perfumed fruit. Perfect balance. Really great. — a month ago

Gorgeous nose that is primary and grapey with some bright mid to late season cherry and a hint of reduction that will blow off. Now some raspberry sweet cake and a hint of cocoa add alluring complexity. Reduction already blowing off. But still needs hours to become fully aromatically expressive. Palate is so clean, so juicy and so precise with crystalline fruit that just crackles and is ripe. Wow. This is amazing. I think I sold for $42. Unreal finish and super cleansing minerality. Lovely amplitude in the mid palate and just thrilling fruit. With air the fruit is sweetening up and it has terrific inner mouth aromas and a confectionary quality on the palate when you swish. Nice but not overly remarkable. Don’t have a ton of experience with Pommard. This is quite fleshy and even slightly rustic perhaps. The tannins are certainly quite present. Not giving as much aromatically as one might hope. Still very well balanced and a nice finish. — a year ago
