Beautiful moscatel aromas in the nose, less on the palate, refreshing, beautiful acidity. — 3 years ago
i know nothing about portugal wines and grapes but this stuff is excellent!!! complex nose, very fresh crisp. lemon zest, minerals, stone, honey, peach, lime. long finish. very, very nice. — 3 years ago
Great dry Chardonnay. Balanced alcohol and acid. Medium acid. Medium- high alcohol. Slight peach aroma. Slight bitter finish but not to a fault. Very rich mouthfeel and thick texture. Good burgundy. — 6 years ago
A bit modest at first, but with a pronounced minerality that is confidently taking over the show, and evolving into a salty complexity. Great presence and a vibrant texture on the palate is driving the fruit through the finish. A very smart wine. — 7 years ago
Really nice for a basic Pouilly-Fuisse, and a great value. With a little air, the nose shows lifted, bright peach and orchard fruit, some of that nice wet straw and limestoney notes you want in a Maconnais white. Balanced in the mouth, with nicely gauged fruit, acids, and stoney notes. Not the deepest or longest, but nicely done. I’ve been very impressed with this producer. — 10 months ago

Johann’s sister and a very very rare wine. Nose has huge granite, red and black berry fruit but it’s more on the redder side. But granitic minerals dominate. Very different than Johann. Palate is wonderful. Granite driven and has great freshness as a result of that and tons of red berry fruit and luscious tannjns. So juicy and just shimmering. Especially for a a Cornas. Long. Really long. Superb. The structure is classic Cornas but the bright granitic minerality is unique to this wine. I’ll track this with air. As this airs it gets so much silkier. Wow. This is so good. Mid now is getting more opulent. Really silky, sexy wine. Almost a 9.6. — 3 years ago
Delicious. Bought at Liner & Elsin. — 6 years ago
Lemon zest and minerality with brioche and golden apple. Bright and light. — 7 years ago
Another winner from what has become one of my favorite Maconnais growers. Nose has pure, peachy, ripe appley fruit together with crushed wet limestone. Fairly deeply flavored, with surprisingly nice acids for such a hot year and good mineral tension in the finish. The balance on this is so nice. — 9 months ago
Yum. Drink again! Soft, silky, raspberry with a hint of cinnamon. — 3 years ago
Excellent. Smooth, not too dry. — 5 years ago
Could be better than the 16, too early to tell. Off the truck drinking again. Trying to find it is the difficult part.
Winery notes,
This wine, full of character, comes from selected individual vineyards in the location Giatl, stocked with vines grafted to slow growing rootstock and trained on wire trellises (Guyot). This extraordinary Pinot Grigio flourishes under outstanding climatic conditions on a stony, sandy and extremely chalky soil in the valley floor around the center of Cortina s.s.d.v. The favourable location of the vineyards, ideal sunshine, and the good ventilation of the berries assures the excellent quality of the grapes of this varietal, that is also a representative of the Burgundy family.
Yield per hectare: 45 hl.
Vinification: The grapes are pressed and the stems are removed in the pneumatic tank press. Before being pressed, a short cold maceration takes place in order to enhance the fruitiness of the wine. Afterwards, the grapes are gently pressed and clarified through the natural settling of sediments. The alcoholic fermentation takes place in small casks of French oak in which this particular wine acquires complexity through its twelvemonth aging and ripening on the yeast. After bottling, several further months of aging takes place for completion before this unique white wine, furnished with its ultramodern bottle, goes on sale.
