Pear, applesauce, lemon candy, ripe peaches, firecrackers, hint of white pepper on the nose. Nice creamy mouthfeel with pear, golden plum, candied lemon peel, powdered ginger on the palate. Gewurztraminer on steroids - rich, ripe and elegant with a pronounced bouquet of lychee, honey, candies lemon, rose petal, ginger and smoke. This verges on medium sweet with 33g/l RS and is full bodied with 14.5%abv. Powerful with enough stony minerality to stay clean rather than cloying on the exceedingly long finish. Unusual blend of Riesling, Pinot Gris and Gewürztraminer from the Rangen Grand Cru, the southernmost of Alsace’s grand cru sites. Volcanic soils.
