Envidia Cochina Slow is Beautiful Albariño 2016

A golden yellow with peppery floral aromas and a little baking yeast from lees contact. Medium bodied. Flavors of stone fruit - peach and apricot are strongest with nice acidic backbone. — 4 days ago

Agro de Bazán

Granbazán Etiqueta Verde Rías Baixas Albariño 2016

Delicious coastal white, plenty of zingy lemon, grapefruit, brine, floral and grassy notes and a bit of lees to round things out. All that for not a lot of dinero (note the price tag). Will be a staple going forward for casual vegetable or light seafood-centric pairings — 20 days ago

Paco & Lola Rías Baixas Albariño

Super pale light yellow in color. Pink grapefruit explodes on the palate then a splash of lime and some white peach and a touch of minerality. Nice and crisp. — 11 days ago

Perfect Albariño. Eating local Mallorcan seafood cooked a la plancha at a decades old restaurant recommended by Ferran Adrià. — 5 days ago

Atalier Rías Baixas Albariño

This wine is firing with electricity and deep mineral cut. It’s a little much at the moment but it’ll pair with just about any food in front of it. Interested to see what happens with this stuff in the longer term, even 5 years. The stuff is so cheap that most will have a hard time keeping their bottles closed. Given a little time to integrate all that energy I imagine this will stand up to some of the legends of Chablis (like super solid village or straight premier cru from a dope producer). Lucky to have a handful of these. Get yours before people find out what’s up. — 19 days ago
