Marieta Rias Baixas Albariño 2018

It's not bold, but it's fresh. A peach & an apple. Nice minerality (a wet stone). The final: sweet & citrus. Mild. — 4 days ago

Hands down one of my favourite Albariño producers! Classic style done very well, drunk with fried calamari, strong pairing. — 11 days ago

Could be my new summer white! Crisp and not too fruity. It does have a taste of melon — 9 days ago

Wonderful nose! Smells like I’m standing on a breezy ocean coast. Salted Meyer lemon flavors that wrap around the tongue and impart a late arriving mouth watering acidity. Terrific with trout. — 15 days ago

Crisp, great acidity, refreshing. This wine was great. Paired well with salted nuts because that’s all I had on hand but would go great with seafood. Drinks well stand alone. Husband even liked it and he doesn’t gravitate towards whites. — 5 days ago

Porta da Ría

Rias Baixas Albariño 2017

Cool label. And cool bottle color, kinda olive green. And convenient screw cap to boot! Lovely golden glow in the glass. Smells like briney clean ocean water and white wine in a fermentation tank. Meaning citrusy and slightly yeasty. Flavors are soft and somewhat simple. Pretty smooth. It’s got just a hint of ‘salty’ edge though & plenty of pucker. It’s a unique and likable white. — 3 days ago

Honey and stone fruit flavour/aroma on first tasting. After eating with Pork with apricot and balsamic glaze the flavour moved to citrus and grapefruit. Very well paired. — 11 days ago
