A rainy week that screams for a comforting glass of Port next to the fireplace.
Dark chocolate and violets on the nose, palate is finishing a little hot from the alcohol. Will update and adjust rating as I drink myself through the bottle 🍷🍷
Update: even on day two this had a very tight core of dark chocolate and silky linear tannins. If you have properly stored bottles wait another 8-10 years, this will drink well for decades. 95+

Light, refreshing, easy drinking. Very citrussy. Would be perfect in summer — a month ago
Bright purple. Clearly more uptoned than the Quinta do Vallado Superior I had alongside. This is nicely balanced midweight young Douro. Raspberries, granberries red currants and cherry, some strawberry maybe on the background. This jumps nicely out of the glass and nose is far more expressive at this stage. Pop next about 4-5 years from now and you have a treat. Great stuff! — a month ago

This was much better then the previous one in February! More fruit and less tannic. Went very well with fried chicken livers. — 5 days ago
