Because pandemic means drinking wine again with friends is a special occasion, time to break out some good Burgundy. I don’t have many bottles of Premiere Cru Burgundy, but this one felt like it needed drinking this afternoon. Right off the bat it had an incredible bacon and smoked meat aroma that was pretty alluring, with flavors of raspberry and black raspberry tinged with herbs and forest floor. Fairly rich and robust on the Burgundy spectrum, but gorgeously silky and balanced. — 3 years ago

Aromas of ripe blackberry, Bing cherry, clove and star anise leap from the glass and balance a dense palate of black plum, cassis and toasty cocoa with a smooth finish framed by dusty tannins.
