Nose - wet clay pot, rose petals, leather, crayons . Main flavors - apricots, nectarines and plum and unripe cherry. Mid taste is sweeter and then finishes dry but not too dry. Very very nice! — 6 months ago
Forgot this wine, no indication of vintage except on the cork! A flashy earthy dark fruited presentation straight out of some wilderness, firm almost woodsy palate and good finish. Not at all what I would have thought of as Gamay. Looked like it didn’t present well several years ago. Age difference? — 7 months ago

Opened with grass fed steak grilling when Hannah and Bobby were visiting. Wine shift from Hannah from her stay on North Fork of Long Island. Went very well with steak. — 4 years ago
Opened about 8 hours prior to service and Audouze’d. The 1989 pours a deep garnet color with a transparent core and a slightly watery rim; medium viscosity and light staining of the tears. On the nose, the wine is vinous with notes of ripe and desiccated black and red fruits: brambles, poblano pepper, smoked and candied pork belly, leather, mint, damp decomposing earth, gentle spices. On the palate, the wine is dry with medium+ tannin and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is medium+ and still pretty grippy. What’s wild is how relatively “modern” this wine comes across; especially considering the more humble Côtes de Bourg appellation. Drink now. — 5 months ago
Is hard to imagine how anything could be much better from nose to lingering finish. But, I'll keep searching for the perfect dram. — 3 years ago
