Château Roc de Cambes
Côtes de Bourg Red Bordeaux Blend
Black ripe red fruits, orange peel, powerful and tannic in the mouth, round with ripe fruits on the finish. Serious wine with density, structure and fruit but not over ripped.

Mar 8th, 202130+ minute decant. Very unique. Was like a trip around the world! Had the tannins of a Barolo, the plums of CDP, the oak and vanilla of a Tempranillo, the texture of Bordeaux, the structure and depth of an Aussie Shiraz, and the smell of a Napa Cab. Very complex or disjointed, however you want to interpret it. I’m the latter as it wasn’t my style, but love that it was different.

Jan 22nd, 2021Côtes de Bourg is a Bordeaux region that many don’t know that delivers incredible wines for a fraction of the price of other regions. This higher priced bottle at £40+ sure delivers an amazing wine that would be triple in St Emilion & made by the folks from Tertre Rôteboeuf & called “the junior Tertre Rôteboeuf“ 👍 Drinking great young but will improve 😉

Wow totally surprised by this wine. As a random purchase at $40, this definitely out kicked the coverage. The aromas are so inviting....perfumed floral, mint, and earth.
BlackBerry, black cherry, pomegranate, and crushed rocks on the palate.
Decanted for 60 minutes.
This is still very young and has a decade or so to go. If this was a St. Emillion it would be easily twice the price point.
