Y’all probably know by now that I’m a fan of rosé. Anytime, anywhere, with any food. It’s one of the most satisfying wines around. But I’m kind of picky when it comes to rosé. It’s gotta have energy. It’s gotta have lift. It’s gotta have ACIDITY. While I might catch some flak for this, I’m just gonna say it. There is no surer bet in the world of pink wine than Corsican rosé. I’ve never met one I didn’t like. Hell, I’ve never met one where I didn’t immediately want a second bottle. So whenever it crosses my path, I grab it. By the glass, by the bottle, by the case. This little beauty (from the Isle of Beauty, no less) was made by Eric Poli, and comes from organically farmed (uncertified) vines on the east side of the island near Eric’s hometown. Made from Sciaccarellu, an indigenous red to the island that makes just stunningly bright rosés. Citrus skin, strawberry, dried flowers and grapefruit are layered over wet stone minerality that is just gorgeous. — 3 years ago

NV. Opening this up on a very cold evening sounded like a good idea, and it turned out to be a great idea. Super creamy mouthfeel, complex flavors that may take me many revisits to figure out, and a finish that lasts minutes and minutes. — 2 years ago
