Deep ruby in color with slight brick color on the rim. Nose is quite pleasing with berry compote, lavender, and dark chocolate. Also a bit of earthiness. Wow. A great mouthfeel on this wine. Well balanced with tannins still a bit heavy. That said, I like my wines with a bit more tannic backbone. These notes are from pop and pour taste. For our reception, I packed a magnum of this in 2007 into my suitcase.. Same as it was that night, it is tonight. Every 750ml I/we have had since then has better than the magnum I brought. The magnum was good, but a touch broken down. This is in amazing shape. Storage is everything w/ wine of this age.

The nose was straight up brighter, aged fruit profile with mushrooms, sweetened led pencil & barnyard. Beautiful. Classic 80’s seminole Bordeaux. 48 years from inception & 46 years in bottle, amazing.

2022 vintage. Another good effort from this Pauillac that was an underachiever for many years,but it is definitely not in the same league as the excellent 2020. Good concentration, and ripe, slightly jammy fruit. While the oak is perfectly integrated, it is too toasted for my taste. If you like that, you will score this higher. Abv. 14,5%. Totally blown away by the extraordinary Gloria 2022 tasted alongside. — 12 days ago

Nice spice to the nose. Oak on the front with cassia and red fruit, med+ acidity, high grippy tannins, full body blackcurrant on the back. Gravelly minerality but smooth. It's good, but I think I still prefer right bank Bordeaux's lol. — 16 days ago
