Fantastic blend. Not overbearing, not too dry. — 2 years ago
Powerful for a Valtellina, and a little on the austere side. Mature nose shows chokecherry and leather, mahogany scents, along with lots of crushed rock. Intense but lean in the mouth, with zingy acidity and zippy crisp cherry and lots of minerality. Still a bit of puckery tannin. My brother brought this back from Italy a few years ago for me. Grazie! — 3 years ago
Nose like wet socks/rotting leaves. Beautifully balanced otherwise with bright fruit and great tannin. — 5 years ago
2020 - vintage - Touriga Nacional-35%, Alfrocheiro-35% -Tinta Roriz-30% ( also known as Tempernillo) I have mixed feelings about this wine - very dark color - not a lot of oak aging here with these tannic varieties but the aromas are nice leafy big blackberry fruit , coca powder medium plus tannins , medium acidity ,13 %ABV (seems like I would enjoy this more with extended barrel aging) still for the price point very enjoyable. — a year ago

2017 Paul Lato Matinee Santa Barbara County Pinot Noir.
This wine punches so far above its price class. It’s Burgundien in style but never forgets it’s origin. It carries the best of both worlds.
It’s a bright, shiny ruby red in the glass. Aromas of sweet Bing cherries wth spicy raspberries and strawberries. Wow. Amazing flavours of cherries, roses, earthiness, coca and a touch of cola. Overriding everything is an elegance that dances on your tongue but doesn’t overwhelm. We had it with local organic chicken thighs with shio koji and daikon leaves. Amazing. — 5 years ago
Sipping Fine Wine
This sparkler carries the new Corpinnat designation, meaning it's no longer Cava. Pale lemon with citrus and stone fruit aromas with biscuit notes and good bubble flow. Clean fresh palate of apple and pear with lime citrus zest flavors. Medium+ finish ending with wet stone minerality and citrus character. A nice alternative to a French Champagn. — 2 days ago
