Classic Italian wine making with non traditional Italian grapes. Leather, tar, tobacco- yet after an hour - fruit came through - plum - cherry - chewy fruits. Lots of tannins still - could go another 10 years... but delicious now. — 3 months ago
Needing some variety from my cellar - I picked up this $12.99 Bordeaux from my local ‘packie’- liquor store for those not from the northeast. At open it had alcohol, tannins, perfume on the nose - same taste. An hour later, all tannins - like wet slate / but fruit was peaking through. 24 hours later, it’s smooth, light tannins, and delicious red and black fruit delectably coming through. This is why I love wine and especially French wine. That said - holding up a glass to all those in wine country recovering from the horrible glass fire. Napa strong ! — 3 months ago
A toast to Rosemary Cakebread as we sit to watch season 4 of the CROWN, highlighting other incredible Trail Blazers - PM Thatcher, Queen Elizabeth II, and Diana. This cab can really go another 10 years plus, but enjoyable now with some decanting. cedar and tannins on the nose - casis and fruit on the palette. — 2 months ago

Perfect summer Sunday with the family on the beach - hints of stone dust, lemon and just a hint of oak. — 5 months ago
Said in my Homer Simpson voice: “mmmm Kistler Stone Flat Chardonnay....” - cloudy hue / canary yellow diamond in color; apple seeds to the nose, alcohol, barely noticeable oak; smooth and almost caramel candy taste. — 3 months ago
Ok, so this really could have waited - but pandemic, election, end of the world - why wait. Thomas brown and the team at Maybach have just created a consistent wine - smooth (even young), light tannins, velvety, cassis and coconut yet strong cedar on the nose. Oakville Napa - just incredible. — 3 months ago
