Still too hot, but manageable. — a month ago
Montevertine's Pian del Ciampolo blend is 90% Sangiovese, rest with equal amounts of Canaiolo and Colorino, deep Ruby with purple hues, aromas of red fruits, floral, herbs and smoky oak. On the palate flavors of cherry and currants with dried herb notes, cacao and tobacco notes. Fine ripe sweet tannins, long finish ending with fruit and an earthy herb spice character. 2021 vintage. Medium-medium heavy body. Trademark voluptuousness/ blanket swaddling there in the early/mid going. Fell off on the finish with a bit of lingering tartness. Loved the 2016 and 2017. This is that but it ain't (all) that if you know what I mean. 3.25.26. — 20 days ago
Every vintage is a delight.
Light, airy, aetheric and yet with nice precision & purity to the light, crunchy cherry. There’s also a hint of damson plum and cool, rocky minerality. This is very enticing.
Medium bodied on the palate with quite present, firm tannin and juicy, vibrant acidity. Cherries again with a mineral undercore. Nice depth and good length here.
Surprisingly youthful for 8y, this is holding up very nicely but is also a joy to drink now. Delish! — a month ago

Enjoyed with some Tuscan steak and pasta while watching the 2926 masters. Wanted Cameron Young but Rory knows how to keep it interesting. That said. Lovely rather light wine on a sunny afternoon. Sorry - more about the ambience than the tasting notes. Ooos. It was Yummy. — 2 days ago
