Gratien & Meyer

Brut Saumur Chenin Blanc

Colour: very light straw yellow with very big bubbles.
Smell: very fruity nose with apples, apricots and honey
Taste: Fruity with some honeyed undertones and quite carbonated bubbles. Acidic with good balance. Very easy drinking and perfect for a starter wine with seafood or just on its own.

Anderson Valley Chardonnay 2016

Light balanced chardonnay. Buttery without being oaky. Lots of stone fruit coming through with bits of meyer lemon. Lovely refreshing acidity that clears your pallet without puckering — 2 days ago

Spitfire Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

Although I could have waited several years before opening this, it’s a pandemic and we were grilling flank steak with Worcestershire butter. This was perfect for those big, bold beef flavors. The fruit, oak, tannin balanced nicely. Sharing it with distanced friends on our patio, over a meal, that was fabulous. — 3 days ago

Santa Maria Valley Melon de Bourgogne 2019

Edit: this is the 2019 vintage; last month I had the 2017. Honeydew melon, honey (redundant?), salt but not to a gross extent, Meyer lemon. 😋😋 — 19 days ago
