This is Pablo Fallabrino’s “Anarkia” Tannat fermented in steel with native yeasts and no added sulfites. Opaque purple in the glass and fairly aromatic with notes of ripe raspberry, blackberry jam, and freshly ground coffee. This is a concentrated and flavorful wine that really impresses with its juicy acidity and super fine tannins. Such a lovely contrast to the polished gravitas of Bodega Garzon. It’s exciting and inspiring to be introduced to the flavors and imaginations of new producers showing us that they’ve found something special that’s well worth the exploration. — 2 years ago

Bell pepper, chilli pepper, tamarind, red fruit… cherry, raspberry, cedar, vanilla, dill (but tech spec says aged in used French oak). On the palate, unripe blackberry and seeds. No noticeable cream on the palate (effect of melo gone?) — 14 days ago
