Lovely nose of slow cooked beef and heirloom pork, red and black roses, brown bread stuffing, fine tabak, vanilla-in-bread, dusty black cherry, dried black currant and espresso powder. Black olive rounds the palate in a textural wave that intensifies to charred grape gravy, very sharp forest berry, lavender, holly, pine nettle, and sage. Younger offering here but fully integrated and freshly offering dark bark and dark castings with lively fruit and floral punctuation.

Dali vintage. Still super alive and young, what fun wine to drink alongside Dali’s Wines of Gala book. Most of the fruit is gone, lots of terroir shining through — grape seeds and clay. Some sage / menthol. Literally no oxidative notes — 3 years ago
This wine is the 2018 Montepeloso Eneo Costa Toscana. A blend of 70% Sangiovese, 20% Montepulciano and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
On the nose there is cherry, raspberry, plum, herbs, anise, rose petals, sage and earth.
On the palate we get nice cherry, raspberry, cranberry, mint, spice, star anise and dry soil.
This wine is medium to full bodied with a smooth velvety mouthfeel, medium + to high acidity and medium to medium + fine smooth tannins moving well into a long dark fruit earthy finish. Have a wonderful weekend, enjoy family and friends and please stay healthy and safe. Nostrovia! 🍷🍷🍷🍷 — 3 years ago
Black cherries stand out against earthy beet and blackberry. Graphite rings and smoke curls around bay and sage, acanthus and peppercorn. Green in spots and muted on the palate, this one is unfortunately young and missing something. Pepper and cedar overpower the fruits and the tannins are aggressive here, giving a stemmy impression. May develop over time but gangly and awkward here.

Absolutely gorgeous and unique. For a 23yo wine the complexity on the nose and palate is still bumpin, and the tannins are silky and smooth, with a little grab here and there just to let you know it’s past. Nose of rich dark berries, old driftwood (from Collin) with a medium body that’s fruit forward, somewhat smoky, and beautifully balanced with hints of dried herbs, and sage. Absolutely amazing. — a year ago

96 that leans deep into 97. Always stunning from this producer regardless of vintage. Producer trust.
This still has dark, round, meaty, backbone tannins, dark currents w/ Indian/Asian spices. Ruby, lush; blackberries, black raspberries, black plum w/ dry skin, darkest of cherries, raspberry hues, purple fruits hues, deep baking spices, dark chocolate bar, mocha, caramel, dry top soil, crushed limestone powder, dry tobacco/leather, dry herbs-bay leave/sage, dry, slightly candied to withering flowers framed in violets/lavender, excellent, round acidity with a finish that is well structured, balanced, nicely tensioned & elegantly polished finish that falls onto dry earth & lasts minutes.
This 2001 is still youthful & has at least another decade well stored. — 4 months ago
