May not have the character of say a Baudry or Raffault Chinon, but still a profoundly true-to-terroir Chinon with all that fine grained dark berry earthiness, low on the funko-meter, & just plain ol’ low alcohol fun. Paired with brunch cheesy egg casserole of Gruyère, nutmeg, Parmesan etc that soaks overnight in Half & Half. — a year ago
Orange blossom half and half sipped out of a cantaloupe soaked in the Atlantic. Also those orange circus peanut candies you find at rural gas stations. I know this note sounds terrible but it’s just because I’m a poor writer, the wine is actually quite good as per usual. — 7 months ago
Expressive nose of thyme, graphite and wild raspberrys. Medium weight, with moderate tannic structure. Great vintage for the Les Peuilles vineyard. — 3 years ago

Wine 1, with rack of lamb. As my drinking history shows, Raffault is a perennial favorite. 2017 is easy access with medium weight, wild red berry fruit, tomato leaf, and earth. Drink over the next five years. Holding ‘09, ‘14, ‘15, and ‘18 with patience. — 17 days ago
