Other than Wayfarer Pinot noir, Occidental is hands down the Rolls Royce of Pinots. Full flavor, robust, and very exotic. It’s a perfect gift to give for someone who loves their Pinot noirs. Get them while you can because wine shops do not sell these by the case. At an average of $65-$70 per bottle, it’s a premium but their quality is unique and hard to find. You won’t be disappointed. — 6 months ago
Delicious balance of fruit and orange spice. Really nice at the moment... — a month ago
My goodness this is delicious. Beautiful fruit but in a balanced way. Love it — 6 months ago
I bought this after reading princeofpinot review; my first experience with this wine. Lately I have been drinking Kistler/ Occidental, Marcassin, Aubert and a few random Calera pinots and the Suduri was a bit different in character; seemed more burgundian in style. Was elegant, but less fruit forward than Kistler et.al , more restrained? Reminded me of a few Rochhioli West Blocks and early Williams Selyem from years gone by. A very nice pinot at any price point and I wish I had more of it. — 4 years ago
BBQ & Zin night!
A nice change of pace against the heavy zins! Big scores on here. I definitely get the blood orange notes with a streak of black cherry down the middle of the palate. Cedar, slightly stemmy, and potpourri. Loads of flavor without being jammy. Beautiful. — 4 months ago
