Newton Forrest Estate

Newton

Unfiltered Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Straw yellow color with aromas of stone fruits and floral spice. On the palate flavors of peach, apricot and apple with added honey citrus. Well balanced, nice acidity, long finish ending with toasty notes and creamy citrus mineral ending. — 3 months ago

Unfiltered Napa Valley Chardonnay 2003

Gold at age 22. Aroma is full of flowers. Pineapple is clearly present on the palette with white pepper and pear secondary flavors. Went well with Pan fried Walleye with a Leek and White Wine Sauce — 5 months ago

Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

Really big and bold, but as of 2024 the ‘18 vintage is still immature. It’s going to be beautiful and delicious though and hopefully smoothes out. Strong acidity and mouth watering tannins. There are lots of dark fruits mixed with some sour cherry and other tart red berries. Chocolate and spice, medium vanilla tannins. I’ll sit on my other bottles for a few more years. — 2 years ago

Skyside Sonoma County Chardonnay 2016

Crisp apple aromas. Apple, pear, and lightly oaked. A good effort for their entry level chardonnay. — 4 years ago

Napa County Cabernet Sauvignon 2013

2010 vintage. Smooth up front with chocolate tobacco tones with slight plum. If finish was longer would get a higher rating. — 5 months ago

Continuum

Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2014

Tim Mondavi’s master piece! This is my 2014 Continuum. One word: FANTABULOUS! Sage mountain vineyard in 2014 was incredible for cabernet! This is the best cab Ive had all year! Who says you dont always get what you pay for? 225 dollars of pure ecstasy in a glass! Wow. Fig newton dipped in grape jelly on the nose. Dark berries fill the palate followed by black pepper and dark chocolate . It is as velvety smooth as it gets. The oak and tree moss come through on the finish with a slight tingle on the corners of the lips and cheeks. The finish is dry and lingers with even more complexity! Cigar box, mineral rich soil, Black licorice, and grape jelly again! Goodness. I have been waiting on this one for a long time and I am so glad it is as good as I thought it would be. I just wish I had someone to share it with!!! — 3 years ago
