Amphora

Syrah 1998

Still very dark purple color, rich, ripe dark fruits w/noticeable structure remaining, I think this fruit came from Mounts Vineyard on the western part of the Dry Creek Valley, long finish, very fine Syrah. [75 case production] — 5 months ago

Mounts Vineyard Syrah 2001

Dark fruits rich, shows some oak, but also a little too much heat in the medium-long finish, very good Syrah. — 3 years ago

M100 Columbia Valley Red Blend 2017

Color of bubbly purple, a bit dark. Nose of cocoa, dark cherry, plum, prune, leathery, and some spice, quite conventional full body red. Taste is mounts full with spice, refined tannins, and vanilla sweetness. Definitely a crowd pleaser. 2nd sip shows some zesty note, ripe fruits, tobacco leaves, and more nice tannins. Aftertaste is medium with a bit more warmth from alcohol, ripe grapes and zesty note. Pretty easy to drink and good. — 4 years ago

N.S. della Neve Extra Brut Pinot Noir Nebbiolo Rosé

Delectable Wine
9.1

The NV Extra Brut Rosé Metodo Classico N.S. della Neve is captivating with a beguiling bouquet that leads with sweet tobacco, then transforms to show ripe peaches, chamomile and hints of raw almond. It’s silky-smooth with a fine bead of bubbles, as tension quickly mounts through a wave of saline-tinged acids and minerals that cut through with laser-like intensity. A salty flourish defines the finale, while the palate is left watering for more. This is intense on its own, but it would be dreamy with any number of rich, fatty or fried foods. The N.S. Della Neve is a Metodo classico-produced blend of 60% Nebbiolo and 40% Pinot Noir that finishes at just one gram per liter of residual sugar. Disgorgement date: February 28, 2022.
