Light, minty beer. I wonder if they really brew on Nantucket Island. Mermaid Label. — 5 years ago
Salty lemon verbena that on day 3 sings like a mermaid.2016. Drinking to remember JS who lost his chance so strangely… — 5 years ago
So before the following I am gonna tell you how well this pairs with southwest salad and potatoes that have had some Funtime in hot oil. It isn’t quite a unicorn but at least a mermaid wine. It can sing and swim. Maybe it has legs AND fins—take that Ariel deniers. Anyway. Should I be proper? On the nose a lot of salt and baked stone fruit and apple juice. On the palate a body not quite voluptuous but not quite not. Lemons (baked stewed raw and candied) and hint of salad green barely ripe peach medium plus acid. Alcohol I am guessing is...12.5. Maybe 13 but...checked label it says it is 13. Snazzy. This wine is good with the slightly spicy southwest flavors but also chill with salad so that’s cool. I also served this at thanksgiving earlier this year because it can be friends with most dishes. Falanghina does a great service to food. — 7 years ago

La Sirena Napa Valley Grenache 2015: An appropriate wine after an evening of watching The Little Mermaid with my daughter! The wine was lively & soft with wonderful flavors of red fruits. Cheers 🧜♀️🍷 — 6 years ago
One of Demetria’s best white wines. Light, crisp, citrus. Let this mermaid breath for a day and it shines. — 8 years ago

Still remember the incredible purity, after drinking it a few days after new years. Lemon curd, brioche, and a little bit of tropical fruit. It opened up as it went along, so the racy acidity level doubt and the mermaid liked it after a bit. Rating below is purely my own — 4 years ago

Blend of Regent and Cabernet Cortis, 2 hybrid varietals.
This is a funny one. The winery is based in the city center of Warsaw but their plot is located on the slopes of Kazimierz Dolny, a medieval city 70 miles south of Warsaw, on the side of the Wisła River which flows through Warsaw. On the label you can see a contemporary art rendition of the famous warsaw mermaid, which is the symbol of the city. Statues of the mermaid can be found in several iconic locations of the city and are shown on every bus, tram and taxi driving around. It's a staple of Warsaw and seeing it on the label of this bottle tells the story of this wine being intricately connected with Warsaw and its rich culture and history.
The nose is very Cabernet-adjacent with notes of cherry, bell pepper, black pepper and a bramble thing too. The palate is well made, with good acid drive, nice cherry and bramble berry notes, good width and rather powerful, drying tannins in the rear. They leave a drying layer over the finish that go well with the cherry and bramble berry notes and carry on for a good while. Some bitter notes and green notes pop up in the rear. It's a serious wine, with structure, a bit austere as it is currently, but which will certainly cruise in the cellar for a while, and eventually open up and shine with its lovely black fruit notes. Serious, austere, built for lasting but also fun and full of hope: a bit like the city it was born in. 👌 — 4 months ago
