Mas Amiel Pur Schiste bio - Côtes du Roussion 2018
Strawberry jam, blackberry, black pepper, garrigue, licorice. What a nose for such a low price wine! The palate is well balanced with strong acids, a bright fruit with blackberry mostly, some width, some nice tannins with a grain, and a lot of freshness and fruit on the finish which lasts for ever. This is seriously good for the price tag (less than 10 €) — 13 days ago
Came along nicely over these years! Good sense of mature dark fruits and earthy notes that went well with somewhat spicy pork with paprika from Instapot. — 2 days ago
The wine is fresh considering the region , exhibiting nice floral notes, red fruits, and fantastic minerality that I love from priorat. No better example of the region for the price. — 19 days ago
Reading Cork Dork. So far, it’s captivating.
Rich, dense, perfume of leather, pumpkins, and cinnamon.
Sweet licorice and blackberry compote right at the forefront. Followed by a juicy berry mid palate and a kick of garam masala and red pepper flake spice right as you’re setting the glass down.
A medium to high acidity, a bit much for this composite of flavor profile, but it still works — probably needs a bit of age. Pretty solid overall. — 2 days ago
2017... awesome find... thank you Matt — 4 days ago
Aged and refined to a delightful density of red fruit compote...with frame of discrete raspberry acidity. Perfect for sw themed burgers and roasted sweet potatoes :) yes, 10+ years has rounded it a little past the peak, but I didn’t need to much tannin here....safe learning all around! — a month ago
Big smiles for such a lovely wine - WNH virtual wine tasting - Spanish night - 70% Carinena grapes dominated with 30% Syrah - highly recommend - almost reminds me of fruit forward CDP - RP scores at 95 - has 10-15 years left — 10 days ago
Mine was chateau belles eaux. Loved it though — 10 days ago
