Chocolatey, meaty, soft tannins. The pizza of wines - nothing bad about that. — 2 months ago

Cuvelier Los Andes

Grand Vin Red Blend 2019

Ming L
9.1

The ripe black fruit core is lifted by perfumed nose and lively acidity. Silky palate with fine grained tannins, but 15.7% abv does make its present felt on the long finish.
Quite a good value for what is considered the flagship wine by the winery.

Clos Apalta

Valle de Apalta Red Blend 2018

Full bodied. Good notes of spice and black fruit. Good legs and a dark red color staining the cork almost black. Long finish and great with fish and red meats. — a month ago

Casa Madero

3V Valle de Parras Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2022

Medium ruby in color; blackberries, plums, and graphite on the nose; high acidity; high tannins; tastes like cherries, dried figs, and wet slate with a long finish. Nellie, Lizzy, and I like it. — 2 months ago

Blend of 50% Malbec, 24% Merlot, 11% Syrah, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby color with aromas of ripe berry fruits floral and spicy herbs. On the palate flavors of blackberry and plum fruit with spicy herb, cacao and toasty oak. Fine soft tannins, well balanced, good acidity, medium+ finish, almost creamy, ending with fruit and oak. Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite

Los Vascos Valle de Colchagua Cabernet Sauvignon 1697

1997(!) vintage. What a nice surprise. Still very much alive, a most pleasurable light Chilean Cabernet Sauvignon. I would have never expected the entry level of Los Vascos to age this well. Abv. 12,5%. — 2 months ago
