Back on track and drinking Greek. This was only my second rose on the trip and this one got my attention. Not only for its character, but it’s versatility with our meal. Apropos, the wine pours a deep fuchsia color. Bursting with fruit: luxardo cherry, raspberry, strawberry, kiwi, watermelon, pretty little purple flowers, minerals. On the palate, the wine is dry. Confirming the notes from the nose. There are tannins…but I would categorize them as low. Acid is medium+ however and the finish is long. Lovely, “fit” texture. A memorable rose that worked deftly with fresh tomatoes, olives and feta; fish soup; as well as handmade pasta and clams in light red sauce. Bravo. — 7 months ago

Not for the timid if an in-your-face Cab Franc is one’s introduction to the varietal. That said, a few put away in the cellar will bring much joy down the road. At the moment the wine is defined by dark berries, orange peel, green pepper and yes, even herbes de Provence. Crazy, I know. While a Fleurie and Limniona will bookend tomorrow’s Thanksgiving meal, a sneak pour of this Cab Franc is all but guaranteed. Can’t wait! 🦃🇺🇸🦃 — 5 months ago
