Needed more time. Fell off a cliff towards the middle of the palate. Time will be it’s best friend. @Mike R

Cuvée L Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Blend 2001

1/2 hour decant (little cloudy sediment). A dark purplish garnet color with the start of some bricking. Nose: Yeessss......that delicate sweet aged cabernet perfume hits then eucalyptus, plum/cherry, wet soil, tobacco, slight menthol. Taste: A velvety rich medium plus body wine with some dark cherry, spice, chocolate, leather, and a minerally dried blackberry long finish with a very slight tannic kick. Nice start to the weekend! — 3 months ago

John Lewis Walla Walla Valley Syrah 2014

Blueberry flavored wine having lovely fruit and a surprisingly sweet finish. This is a very nice Syrah, but at $70, it is far too expensive for what it is. Northern Rhône Syrah is far superior to this Washington State wine and is only slightly more expensive. This wine went well with pizza and will be good with spicy food because of its intense fruitiness. — 2 months ago

Alta Mesa Torrontés 2019

I judged this wine at the CA State Fair a couple of years ago (blind), where is won double gold. I had to subsequently research it to figure out what is was. It was amazing the , and the 2019 vintage is just as amazing. Loved this light, ethereal wine. — 3 months ago
