Domaine des 4 Saisons

Tonnerre Bourgogne Chardonnay 2018

This bottle had been opened for 4 days and stored in the fridge. What a nose! There is chalk, there is limestone, elderflower, lemon, is this pineapple lurking in the back? The palate is well designed with a strong acid backbone, some width and a nice lemony touch all along with again that elderflower thing, a good grip and some matter, and a very long mineral and fruit thing that lasts for a while. Côte de Nuits Villages Pinot Noir 2020

more black-fruited than the ‘19s, but still with a lovely purity and acidity. Black cherry, marionberry, fine tannin, pure 😍 — 3 months ago

Robert Saison

So clean. This reminds me of the French/Belgian Saisons that got me into this style. Very close to perfect. — 4 years ago

Far Yeast Brewing Company

Kagua Saison

Crisp, a frozen blade of grass.

Citrus and peach undertones make a liquid magic I would drink if summers were endless.

This one holds nostalgia of a simpler time for me, so maybe I’m a bit biased, but it’s just so good. Plus saisons are my favorite beers with a unique history.

Hill Farmstead Brewery

Arthur Traditional Farmstead Ale

Bottled 05/11/2022. One of my favorites of the Hill Farmstead saisons that are “relatively” available outside the brewery. Funky aromas with crisp citrusy flavors. Paired great with a dill-mustard crusted trout. — 6 months ago

La Cosecha Sour Saison

Terrific new sour saison from JP (okay, maybe not that new - bottled in November 2019 - but new for me!), this is a collaboration with Perennial Ales. Brewed with peaches and apricots, it’s one of the better sour saisons I’ve had from JP. Highly recommended. — 3 years ago
