Easy to drink, medium bodied and extremely minimal tannins. Had with lemon ricotta pasta — 6 months ago
Celebrating the Brisbane Lions winning the AFL Grand Final in Melbourne on Saturday afternoon over the Sydney Swans. This champagne was mid yellow in colour with a fine mousse. A fruit driven palate with citrus and peach. I don’t drink a lot of Champagne but this was a real crowd pleaser. Full flavoured with 45% Chardonnay and 55% Pinot Noir. — 2 years ago
Dark fruits and easy to drink. Nice with steak — 3 years ago
As noted on label, it’s semi dry with notes of pear, almond, and vanilla. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel with bright and aromatic burst of flavor — 6 years ago
Fruity & easy to drink — 7 years ago
Definitely stronger aroma and taste on the first day. However still very drinkable and enjoyable on 2nd day. Finished it off to the Commanders upset win over the Lions. #IRideWith5 — a year ago
Daou is producing some many good wines in Paso. I wasn’t keen on opening a ‘16 but I needed to try one to determine my aging strategy for the remaining bottles. This is a pop n’ pour! So much balance and harmony for such a young wine. If I can keep my hands off if them, they will stay in the cellar for decades. The high end wines coming from Daou are amazing ( Patrimony, Soul of a Lion, Patrimony Des Lions etc). — 4 years ago

BSR don’t come to the African bush without it. Just like American Express, don’t leave home without it. Missed it!
All my previous notes apply.
Photos of, the nearly 20 Lions we found on our afternoon game drive. Three Males (one of them featured with the big yawn) four Lionesses and 12 or 13 Cubs, the completion of seeing the “Big Five” experience with this Buffalo on our morning game drive and most of the Lion pride laying in the sand awaiting the evening hunt.
9.3 on the BSR and a perfect 10 on our game drives.
@Severn Goodwin This ones for you! 🤣 Cheers! — 7 years ago

2015 vintage. 37,5 cl bottle. Golden colour. Intense perfume with caramel, roasted nuts, dried pineapple and orange peel. The idea is a more accessible style of Sauternes that could work as an aperitif, but after 10 years, this has beautifully evolved into something more complex and rich, while refreshing acidity keeps the sweetness in check. Abv. 14%. A great introduction to the grand vin. — 6 months ago
We had 2020 when dining. Will definitely hunt this down at Dan Murphy’s — 2 years ago
Daou tasting. So good. — 2 years ago
I tried a xinomavro !! What? You’re not ecstatic for me, you think I should shut up? Now just a garbage patch minute I’ve been a wine folly holder and proletariat alcoholic but this wine is from greece it’s got history okay bud. I’m steaming like hams with flagrance and verisimilitude. Watch the attitude. This wine smells like olives and tastes like some too. 100 golden lions — 3 years ago
