Cinq Cépages Sonoma County Red Blend 2018

v16. Outstanding! Soft, dusty, peppery, dried herb and fresh crushed berry nose. Fresh, luscious, deep black currant, blackberry , blueberry and hints of plum fruit. Velvety smooth, slightly chalky, chocolate and soft leather finish. Very good!! — 5 months ago

Vent d'Ange Chablis Chardonnay 2020

Very muted in the nose… hardly anything at first, fresh saltiness, barely a hint of green apple & lemon peel. And yet, fresh & enticing.
And then, on the palate this sings! Simply beautiful! With a touch of roundness & creaminess on the palate but also vibrant acidity, salinity, stony minerality. Ripe yellow apple & lemon. Vibrant, juicy and quite complex. Great depth & length.
A benchmark for Chablis & delish!

I keep seeing this producer posted on here a lot but I must confess I had never heard of it while I was still living back home. Now I want to discover it 😊 thank you for sharing!

Mes Cinq Terroirs Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir 2019

A producer & wine I purchase every year as it always hits the spot for Burgundy lovers with its red & black cherry, berry fruit, spice, crushed rock mineral & violet. The 19 is youthful but approachable with its generous fruit & spice. — a month ago

Côtes du Ceressou Merlot

Outstanding, as long as you let it breathe at least 30 minutes. Great, complex flavor, with nice oak finish that makes it full and long. From WSJ Wines. Tasted 22 November 2022 — 2 years ago

"Cinq" Armstrong Vineyard Pinot Noir 2021

A balance of fruit and non-fruit aromas... black cherries, subtle nutmeg, slate.
Light but rich on the palate with the same fruit and spice flavors as aromas, some soft but present acidity hits the tip of the tongue, and soft but present tannins linger. Complex and delicious.

Chateau St. Jean

Cinq Cépages Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon 1995

1995 vintage. Decanted and tasted after two hours. Used a Durand and cork in really good shape. Mix of chunky and powdery sed. Light-medium body. Shed nearly the entirety of the cloaked and oaked juice. Earth. Dust. Minerals. A harmonious leanness to the entire adventure. Can easily hold in this place for a half-decade. 5.24.24. — 7 months ago
