Beqaa Valley Rosé Blend 2023

Notes of Raspberry, stone fruit, and some light spice notes, very refreshing. Not a big Rose fan especially in the winter but went great with the apps a Zahav in Philly.

Les Coteaux Red Blend 2019

In Margarita Island, Venezuela, while celebrating the “Extraction”. Nice surprise. Never tasted a Lebanese wine. Fruity aromas and acidity in harmony. Good for Arabian meats. I would repeat — 2 months ago

Vintage 1998 | a world of difference drinking Musar on itself (difficult) and with food (absolute tremendous). Tertiary smell, supple and refined taste. Paired with game croquettes. — 3 months ago

1999. One of serge last wines. Things showing as well as any wine I’ve had. Super expressive on nose. Super long finish. Great balance. Rich plummy flavors. Fantastic. — a month ago

AFAIK, Serge was involved in the winemaking (alongside Tarek) all the way until he passed in 2014.

Château Musar

Cuvée Blanc White Blend 2009

Golden, beautifully matured with all the love you could squeeze out of fresh sour apricots, syrupy canned peaches, perfumed black cherries, and all the things that oxygen brings.

Apricots first, then a lifted VA note that folds into a nutty sticky caramel apple thing.

It's more perfumed and full of acid and life then you'd ever imagine despite a tired ale color. Amazing stuff.

Domaine des Tourelles

Vallée de la Bekaa Red Blend 2020

Haven't tried a wine from Lebanon in a while. Wonderful aroma of dark red and black fruits. Tobacco. Cedar. Sour plum. Pretty cool 😎.
This 2020 is aging pretty well. Could go longer but drinking well now, a bit unctuous. Thick. Not a super structured or complex palette but it holds it's own with any Mediterranean lamb dish that you would pair it with. Very similar to Napa cabs but with a bit less finesse but with more interesting aromatics.
