Killer stuff. Nose of lemon and mineral. A bit cold out of the gates. Palate is dynamite. Precise and energetic. Rich and ample with terrific energy and spine. Great structure. This is a terrific site for red and white Monthelie. Chewy, dense and super pure. Awesome texture and so juicy.

This got much better overnight. 9.2 to 9.3. More integrated and sappy.

Puszta Libre! Burgenland Zweigelt St. Laurent 2018

Lightweight plum and cherry skin nose, and then SMASH. what is going on?! Utterly unexpected. Light pétillance, searing acidity, fresh cherries and violets, tannins are soft in texture but suck the liquid from your face like gunpowder tea.

It's a triumph of nat, but will split a room 80/20 ... the lower percentage belonging to somms and people who habitually wear beanies.

Seems a little simple, but its probably just really closed at the moment (especially out of magnum). Full on white florals on the nose, with juicy red apples and briny oysters. Really fruity on the palate with minerality playing second fiddle, although present. There's ample intensity here so I have no doubt this would develop well with cellaring. — 17 days ago
