Structured and somewhat tannic still, still some primary fruit but I worry the tannins will outlast the fruit, impressive showing for the second wine of Laurel Glen, our good steaks are effectively cutting the tannins, very good Cal Cab!! — 20 days ago

@Ira Schwartz, I also had a 1986 Laurel Glen Cabernet next to the bottle above, will consume that soon! And, for @Tom Casagrande, this 1995 Counterpoint was 12.5% ABV!!

Gawd, I miss the old Patrick Campbell Laurel Glen efforts. Difficult to find his main label efforts.

Shows a little of the bell pepper aromas that I often found in older Sonoma Cabs, but nicely balanced fruit that is still quite youthful, tannins have mostly receded, drinking quite well tonight, bravo Patrick for making this gem!! — 2 years ago

2021. Opened two nights ago without time to decant and enjoyed a glass which had really intense aromas and bright acidity and earthiness on the finish. This rating is for the glass we had tonight. Tart cherries and berries, floral and herbal, all integrated. Delicious wine. — 2 months ago
