Laurel Glen

Cabernet Sauvignon 1985

Shows a little of the bell pepper aromas that I often found in older Sonoma Cabs, but nicely balanced fruit that is still quite youthful, tannins have mostly receded, drinking quite well tonight, bravo Patrick for making this gem!! — 6 months ago

Laurel Glen Vineyard

Sonoma Mountain Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 1997

Really? Wow. At 26 years old, not only hanging in there… but highly enjoyable. The mustiness had to blow off for a while, and then it hit its stride. Some toasty fruit remains in front of a long finish. cheers to ending 2023. …. Still going. Finish still going…. Going… — 4 months ago

Patrick Campbell "got it." Only Cabernet Sauvignon from ANY producer with the word "Sonoma" on the label that I've ever had that absolutely kicked ass and took names. Can still taste the 1986, 1987, 1990, 1991, 1992 and 1994. The new version of Laurel Glen Cab is a far cry from what it used to be. Lucky you got a fleeting glimpse of a great vintage from an excellent property under the guidance of a supremely underrated winemaker. Happy New Year!

Okanagan Valley Pinot Gris 2022

An easy drinking Pinot Gris. Easy on the pallet, light fruity flavours and great price for what you get. The vineyard is beautiful and apparently this was the first vineyard to bring Pinot Gris to Canada. — 10 months ago

Clos i Terrasses

Laurel Priorat Red Blend 2016

Delectable Wine
9.5

Deep violet. Powerful aromas of black raspberry and boysenberry, candied licorice and incense, joined by building spiciness. Juicy and seamless on the palate, displaying pliant red and blue fruit, succulent herb and floral pastille flavors that show sharp delineation and noteworthy energy. Delivers a suave blend of power and finesse and finishes extremely long, with solid mineral thrust and fine-grained tannins that add shape and gentle grip. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, March 2021)
