Quite nice with Pat’s lasagna ($22) — 25 days ago
Primarily Zinfandel with a bit of Petite Sirah (10%) blended in. Intense dark ruby/purple color. The aromas and flavors of black cherry/raspberry, blueberry, rose petals, black licorice, fresh herbs and pepper spice are equally as intense. Noticeable vanilla and pleasant earthiness on the long and lingering finish. Rich, complex, juicy and powerful (16% Alcohol) but nicely balanced. Quite memorable. — 5 months ago
2010 vintage. Classic Pauillac with ripe cassis, lead pencil, and cedar wood. Still very young, but a class act. Concentrated, profound, and impeccably balanced, with layers of black fruit, a serious structure of haute couture tannins and balancing acidity. Long, mineral finish. Impressive, but nowhere near its peak. — 17 days ago
Nice Cabernet Sauvignon. Powerful wine that must be consumed with steak or strong cheese. Quite good with filet mignon or strong American cheddar. No need to wait: ready to drink right out of the bottle. Well-made but unremarkable and expensive at $64 for what it is. — 5 months ago
