Needed more time to open up. It did not open up much in the decanter and large glass over 2-3 hours as I was having it. Maybe try decanting 4 hrs. Overall at 7-8 yrs old, it seems to be fine and could likely go many more years.

Dark and chewy. The fruit on its own became something meatier and a different kind of chili powder expression when combined with steak poivre. Delicious and thick with heavy flavor.
