Lander Jenkins

California Pinot Noir 2021

Cute label. Color is light red, ruby. Just a hint or orange on the edge. Smells pretty classic, smoked stuff meets cherry jam. Flavors are nicely balanced. Plenty of strawberry jam and fruity fun, but nice acids. Bright. Juicy. Finish is dense and strong. Hint savory on that finish. Fresh mint mixed with basil. Lemon basil maybe. This is a very nice CA AVA Pinot. Leaves nothing out. Complete. — 2 months ago

Too sweet for @Jennifer Jenkins….not this guy. Acidity provides great balance, with a nice minerality. — 2 months ago

Dark ruby coloration. Some translucency- classic Pinot appearance. On the nose, cherry, dark berry, plum, forest floor, earth, and minerals. On the palate, cherry, plum, dark berry, cola, fruit forward. Jammy. Nice medium to full body with velvety mouthfeel. Nicely balanced tannins and longish finish. — 2 years ago

Vilain Syrah

I have to agree with @romo - it is indeed funky, savory and divisive. I enjoyed, @Jennifer Jenkins did not — 5 months ago

The Colonial Estate

Richard Lander Barossa Valley Shiraz 2008

Delectable this is the Colonial Estate Richard Lander Shiraz - not offered in your Database. Big ripe plum fruit with dark chocolate and blackberry - verging on raisiny. A nice rich full bodied fruit driven palate. The 108 year old vines save the day and prevent it from being a complete fruit bomb. Given to me as a business gift last Christmas and better than I was expecting. The next day it was rich, full bodied with a bit more spice - most enjoyable on a cold day. — 2 years ago
