Roussanne in the new would seems so underwhelming. No there there. But in the northern Rhône it’s a light saber grape. Viscous but weightless. How is that? And this golden yellow hue that I’ll never forget. — 5 years ago

Interesting. Haven't had too many Rhône whites, let alone from '05! Was it exhibiting any earthy, tertiary notes like older white Burgundy?
Not really. Age seems to make it more weightless and ethereal. Like drinking a cloud. It doesn’t do the earth or petrol pivot one would expect from older Chard or Riesling. It’s more like a Polished Diamond. Vajra!
