Louis Barruol
La Pierrelle Hermitage Syrah
Really nice classic N. Rhône notes on the nose of roast beef, tallow, black pepper, garrigue, black raspberry, chocolate, and coffee.
Blackberry, blueberry, pepper. Tannin is fine grained and well integrated with lingering game, beef fat and blueberry compote. Quite approachable now.
I think we were all surprised how approachable and finessed this was at this point in time. Very aromatic with a lot of power on the palate but not too tannic despite its relative youth. Just about perfect with the roast lamb we had.

It's a totally different animal compare to past Syrahs. More delicate, more reserved. Floral component makes it that much more seductive
