Steal of a find! Explosive brambly fruit after about an hour. Still young but tannins are getting silky soft. Rustic, savory, sultry and sexy!

Super floral; bursting from the glass. Lacked fruit until paired with rich, earthy curry and carrot fish. Amazing pairing!

Red fruits, leather, tar, tannins. Amazingly complex. Absolutely loved it.

10 year check in. Light on its feet, earthy without being funky, fruits of the forest, tannins starting to resolve, Perfection.

Blackberry fruit, leather, and stuff tannin but with enough fruit to pull it off, but it really needs time.

Subtle notes of rocky soil, game, and bramble berries. Not very aromatic overall though.

Fairly concentrated dark fruits and intense, brooding tannin. Not a lot of complexity on the palate.

I think we might have caught this in a dummy phase or maybe it's just characteristic of the vintage. It seemed to open up a little bit over the course of time we had it though. That combined with the intense color and lack of rim variation and the big tannins leads me to believe that we opened it 5-10 years too soon. I am not going to give it a rating because I don't think this was representative of what this wine can be (the '05 I had last year was phenomenal).
