This Chardonnay is very good, but not worth its very high price. The flavors are very complex, but not well-coordinated. The palette begins with Apple and pineapple, tasting more European than American, but then finishes with a buttery flavor. The achievement of so many flavors was impressive, but the flavors did not match up for me. The balance of flavors improved over time with oxygen, so perhaps I should have let it breathe an hour before consuming. Good, but I wouldn’t buy it again. — 4 days ago
Tasty! Coming on the heels of Kistler tasting at SingleThread — 18 days ago
Surprised, and amazing discover.
Red fruit smell, short on tongue but fantastic bouquet.
Second taste: oak cask with like a cherry flavor — 2 months ago
Slightly cloudy appearance, dull not bright. Discovered tiny pieces of solid matter in the glass so seems unfined and unfiltered. Definitely better uncorked than Coravinned, needs to breath a little. With Coravin there’s some reductive notes and vegetable notes. Medium(-) aromas that remind me of stems and fermentation (tank sample) definitely som stems in the ferment. Warm alcohol on the nose and on the palate. Still, good balance between the intensity and the richness of ripe red fruit and the acidity. A little too much alcohol sensation for me. #eolaamityhills #oregon #oregonwine #pinotnoir — 25 days ago
Nice balance of fruit and oak. Tangy nose, silky finish. Paired well with lamb pot pie. — 25 days ago
