It’s de rigeur to dismiss modern Napa Cab as minimal variations on the same predictable theme.....but I defy anyone to sway my opinion that this wine delivers hedonistic pleasures similar in feel to the first time I saw a bikini clad Cheryl Ladd fight the bad guys on a yacht in her network debut on Charlie’s Angels back in ‘78. It’s that viscerally delicious.

Really tight on opening whereas the 2012 I had earlier this year was so approachable on opening. Still, it’s great and I just felt the need for something like this tonight. Hard not to love this wine.

Super delicious. Ranks up there with the grand vin 'scarecrow'. Supple soft and robust at the same time. Bits of cassis, cinnamon, Christmas fruitcake and spice. What Napa cab should be. Super high quality juice and cuts through ribeye like butter

A fantastic wine! Dark jam on the nose and baked blueberry pie. I can go on and on with this juice - well structured and balanced (more masculine than the Second Flight).
