Stunning. New but not modern. Huge power, beautifully (fully) integrated wood on this pure Sauv Blanc. Insane length and delineation across the palate. Shockwave structure. — 18 days ago
My first post in 2021 also happens to be my 2000th wine in Delectable which, I guess is an achievement so we’re celebrating with some Bérêche. I believe this is the only wine in their incredible line-up that had, up until now, eluded me. Not any longer!
The 2016 Campania Remnsis pours a very pretty, pink/salmon color but the most remarkable aspect of the appearance is the gorgeous, everlasting mousse of this wine. It nearly carries a head! Pour after pour, the bubbles cover the disc for minutes before slowly beginning to dissipate, leaving a steady bead of bubbles for each glass. Initially, the nose was predominately cantaloupe (the delicious and juicy kind grown in sandy soils), raspberry, strawberry, baby roses, and salty sea breeze. After about an hour, however, the melon notes were replaced with Pink Lady apples and the faintest smell of a Cinnabon kiosk (no joke).
On the palate, this was so charming with Pink Lady apples, watermelon Jolly Rancher and chalky minerals.
As a complete package, the Campania Remesis is overwhelmingly fresh and full of excitement. Easily one of the more fascinating and thoroughly enjoyable pink champagnes I’ve had, ever. Disgorged March of 2020, Dosage 3.5g/l. 5318 bottles produced. — 23 days ago
Oh so bright and citrusy. I might get tired of this and have to temper my palate with some oak, but this is very dry and clean, well balanced with mineral flavors that go with the citrus acidity. — 12 days ago

Dec 13, 2020. Patio wine visit w/ Carl & Gloria. 89% Cabernet, 10% Oetit Verdot, 1% Cabernet Franc. Decanted 1 hour which completely eliminated the musty/dirt finish on initial taste. Beautiful. BlackBerry, cassis, with cedar and earthy notes. — a month ago
Green Apple, citrus aroma, the tongue dances with the crisp acidity of grapefruit and lemons. — a month ago
We were rightfully concerned that this was past its time. Though rich in sediment, a little filtering, a soft pour decant and this was silk and drinking like a grand old lady — 9 days ago

Playing catch up so notes will be brief for a while...
Tart cherry cola and the tart note is key in keeping this pinot from becoming to fat/flabby. A great food wine! — 8 days ago
