Antica Terra Collective Tasting. The other side of the coin, a fruity Syrah. Dark purple fruit, oaky, salty, briny aroma, “dirty martini.” The tag says Dundee Hills but the Syrah fruit is from Santa Barbara. — 2 years ago
2019 vintage. Another great value from this Listrac estate. Dark red. Black fruit, less oaky compared to the 2018. Good concentration, a more extracted style compared to fellow Cru Bourgeois Supérieur Lilian Ladouys 2019 (Saint-Estephe) tasted alongside, but excellent value at 11(!) euros. — 4 years ago
2022 vintage. The back label sends you to the website of Producta Vignobles, a huge coopérative négociant company, the owners seem to be Marie Guyonnaud et Cyril Frémy. 60% Merlot, 35% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 5% Cabernet Franc. Lead pencil and cassis. Medium-bodied, with a pronounced minerality, somewhat hiding the fruit. Good value Saint-Estèphe ( 13 euros in a supermarket ), if a little lean at this stage. Abv. 13,5%. Suffers from the comparison with the 2023 Lilian Ladouys tasted alongside. Better the next day. — 6 days ago

From magnum. A blend of the 2014 and 2015 vintages. Rich but balanced. Quite enjoyable. — 5 years ago
Tastes like Dr Pepper and smells like big red — 6 years ago
Delicate bouquet of dusty dark fruit. Quick dry middle of a sweet 1 second burst of blackberry and tobacco. With a dusty dry tannic ( tobacco?) finish. — 10 months ago
4th of the K Laz tasting - this is the Lillian John blend - maybe it’s too young but find it very thin - apparently next door to Screaming Eagle but pretty sure this is a very pale imitation - nose is slightly off, good fruit but again on the sour side — a year ago
Lovely, no bricking on the edge so it’s not really showing age. Nose is a bit hot still but very fitting the 09’s. It’s secondary for sure on the palate with fruit not overpowering but balanced in with the leather and cedar. Very good for the price point, it is in a good place now. — 2 years ago

2023 vintage. The blends can vary dramatically at this estate. In this vintage it is 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 37% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc. Refined and elegant, with impeccable balance and refined tannins. Another winner from this extremely reliable estate. Incredible value too. Abv. 13%. — 6 days ago
