Demure but sensual. I want more now, and I want to wait and see what happens...#bordeaux #margaux #prieurelichine

A wonderful 2009 Bordeaux from Margaux that is still a little tight with tannins but very good. Will try again down the road!

Grand Cru Classe 2009, was lucky to be visit after intro from Lilian Sartorius from Leoville Barton, ticks all the boxes for me, depth, structured tannins, all the berries, tabac, really has to one of my very favourite wines, 2009 a great year.

2009 vintage. Great coalescence of choco covered plum, raspberry and cherry in both the nose and flavors. Some smoke, slightest hint of spearmint, some earth. Knitted together nicely with that light/medium milk chocolate body. Rocking right now and should be at/near top of the bell curve for the next five years. A great value Margaux.

Few hours decant opens this nicely. Med tannins and healthy unintegrated oak disrupt what’s otherwise a fine drinking Margaux. I will save my last remaining bottles for several years.
