This is a nice Mourvedre based blend from Sierra Foothills, California.
Showing black fruits with earth, licorice, oak, tobacco and light vegetables.
Medium plus in body with medium acidity and long legs.
Dry and smooth on the palate. Spicy and good by itself or with food.
Good right out of the bottle and better after 2 hours of airtime.
A blend of 64% Mourvedre, 30% Grenache and 6% counoise.
14.7% alcohol by volume.

Luv Keplinger Rhône Valley Blends! These grapes are from Amador County. Nice to compare it to her Napa blend. Color - med reddish-brown. Plum and raspberry-cherry fruit bounce off the nose with a floral smoke and tobacco scent; some mineral, wet tea and orange peel lingers. Taste is a definite sweet raspberry with some tar, cedar, crushed rock and vanilla-caramel taste on the mid-pallet. Tannins are well integrated and should drink now. — 7 months ago
